Today's Agent Skill: Seasonal Promotion Campaign Planner

What It Does

Seasonal and holiday promotions are some of the highest-ROI marketing activities a small business can run, but most owners leave them to the last minute and end up with a one-off discount post rather than a real campaign. A coordinated campaign — with a clear offer, a timeline, emails, and social posts — consistently outperforms spontaneous promotions by a wide margin.

How It Works

The agent takes a holiday or season, campaign dates, and a promotional offer (or generates offer options if you don't have one yet), then produces a complete campaign package: a 10-to-14-day countdown timeline, a 3-email sequence (launch, mid-campaign, and final-hours), five social media posts ready to schedule, and platform recommendations based on your business type.

How to Deploy It

Run this skill in Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Cursor, or Windsurf at least two weeks before a seasonal event. After reviewing the campaign package, schedule the emails in Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or your existing email platform and queue the social posts in Buffer or Hootsuite. For service businesses, use the campaign to drive appointment bookings rather than product discounts.

SKILL.md — Ready to Deploy

## Description
Creates a complete seasonal or holiday marketing campaign — including a promotional offer, a 10-to-14-day campaign timeline, a 3-email sequence, 5 scheduled social media posts, and platform recommendations — tailored to a specific business type and upcoming event.

## Trigger
Invoke when the user says "help me plan a holiday sale," "I want to run a seasonal promotion," "create a campaign for Black Friday," "help me plan a summer sale," or names a specific upcoming holiday, season, or business anniversary they want to capitalize on.

## Input
- Business name and type (retail, service, e-commerce, restaurant, etc.)
- Specific holiday, season, or event (e.g., Labor Day, Back to School, Halloween, Thanksgiving, end of Q4, business anniversary)
- Campaign start and end dates
- Promotional offer — or ask the agent to suggest 3 offer options if none exists yet
- Primary channel: email, social media, in-store signage, or a combination
- Target customer: who you most want to reach with this campaign

## Steps
1. If no offer is provided, generate 3 tiered offer options (high-volume low-margin, moderate-discount, premium bundle) and ask the user to choose one before proceeding.
